Eric Prydz Reveals Details of Miami WMC DJ Set with Deadmau5 & HOLO at Ultra | TURN UP THE BASS

The once media shy Eric Prydz has revealed details of his upcoming performances at Miami WMC in a new interview.  He spoke with Rolling Stone about the Pryda vs. Mau5trap DJ set and similarities between himself and Deadmau5 saying, “I think we share similar ethos, we both stay true to our roots and our musical heritage, I have much respect for Joel.  The party in Miami will be something unique – we’ll be doing something different.  I’m excited.”

He also spoke about his Ultra main stage performance with HOLO saying, “HOLO is effectively a festival version of EPIC.  We will be using the hologram as with EPIC but in a much bigger and more impactful way.  In fact HOLO will be the biggest hologram ever used in North America.  As with any production used at festivals there is a risk to what we are doing but hopefully a risk well worth taking.  The rest you will have to wait and see…”  He went on to speak about the logistics of HOLO saying, “We will not be pre-synchronizing the show, no recording and pressing play.  I will play as normal and my team will follow live with me.  On a show of this scale it is a very difficult undertaking few would attempt.  It is about feeling the crowd, going with them, trying to create moments live.”

Eric Prydz also provided Rolling Stone with a DJ mix featuring new unreleased Pryda music:

Eric Prydz – “Liberate” Jeremy Olander – “Petroleum” Eric Prydz – “Untitled” New Order – “True Faith (Sam Ball Remix)” Eric Prydz – “Fabric Test” Eric Prydz – “Untitled1″ Eric Prydz – “Untitled2″ Happy Days (Eric’s private booty) Cosmos – “Take Me With You (Prydz Re-Prod Mix)” Eric Prydz – “Untitled3″ Polarkreis 18 – “Allein Allein” (Reworked By Heller and Nephew)
