Just when it seemed trance was becoming a waning genre, here comes a tune from W&W going back to their trance roots. W&W’s signature heavy kick is ever-present in “Ghost Town,” along with lush, euphoric melodies. The vocal sample in “Ghost Town” is most likely a reference to Pripyat, in Ukraine, now a ghost town after the Chernobyl disaster forced its 50,000 residents to be evacuated. “Ghost Town” was debuted at A State of Trance 600 in Mexico City LAST year. Since then it’s been getting regular plays in the sets of Armin van Buuren and W&W. W&W also played “Ghost Town” in their BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix.
