Tomorrowland Throwback: Revisit 2005 Edition – TURN UP THE BASS

Since 2005, Tomorrowland has taken place every year in Boom, Belgium over 75 hectares (185 acres) of magical lands. To celebrate its 10th anniversary this year Tomorrowland grew to two weekends with 180,000 visitors from over 200 countries in attendance. 2015 will see Tomorrowland spread to Brasil in addition to the spin-off Tomorrowworld in America since 2013. Let’s take a trip back in time and revisit Tomorrowland’s very first edition in 2005.

In 2005 Tomorrowland took place on just one day Sunday August 14th. Performers included Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Sven Vath, Technoboy, Felix Da Housecat, Sasha, Dr. Kucho, Eddie Halliwell, and Coone.  Armin has played nine editions of Tomorrowland since 2005.

A lot of people didn’t have to pay to get in because many free tickets were given away to make the festival more crowded. There were less than 10,000 visitors.

At the 2005 edition there were 2 stages and 6 tents: Main Stage, Q-dance Stage, Black Hole, Versuz, Kulture Klub, Kozzmozz, Cocoon, and Cafe D’Anvers. Q-dance has had a stage at Tomorrowland every year since 2005.
