German-born producer Tujamo first discovered his passion for music as a teen and honed his craft until his unique take on dance music could be considered a genre of its own. He has already created killer remixes for a whole hosts of artists and he is no stranger to remixing David Guetta’s tracks. He made a glorious remix for one of Guetta’s latest hits ‘Light My Body Up’ with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne which was released in April this year. But now it’s time for his take on David Guetta & Justin Bieber’s monsterhit ‘2U’.
When the words David Guetta and Justin Bieber are mentioned in the same sentence the result is guaranteed to be colossal. In early June, just in time for the summer season the goliaths of the pop and electronic world joined forces and released ‘2U’, a track with a well balanced mix of light and shade. It features a delicate and emotionally charged melody that is perfectly complimented by Bieber’s silky vocals that make way for a gloriously high tempo drum section that builds into a punchy, cascading drop sequence.
Bieber has previously enjoyed success while providing guest vocals for Skrillex & Diplo on ‘Where Are You Now’ and DJ Snake on ‘Let Me Love You’ so another electronic collaboration was always on the cards.
‘2U’ has developed into Guetta’s most successful track of 2017 having been certified across the globe and adds softness to his vast collection of original productions. It also forms part of Guetta’s sets for his hugely popular summer residencies in Ibiza at Pacha and Ushuaia and is a firm crowd favourite there and at festivals worldwide.
